Well developed storylineAbbey Mullen is a compelling character。 Her past influences her present and almost to a fault。 The characters had depth and there were enough surprises to keep this reader to the end。 Despite a cliche plot line the story worked。

One of my fastest reads this year。 The back and forth from law enforcement to kidnapper kept the pages turning and yet didn’t give anything away。 I am glad Omer listened to his wife！ I enjoyed Abby’s character。 She had depth and dimension; and certainly offered some practical advice for how to engage in difficult conversations。

There was one thing I learned from this book。。。。I am not a negotiator。 Abby is an amazing person！ The obstacles she had to overcome in her upbringing made her a strong person and a very good negotiator。 The twist in the end made me wanting the next book so bad。I chose to read this book and all opinions in this review are my own and completely unbiased。 Thanks to NetGalley and Thomas & Mercer！
